The Efficiency Audit · 3 Weeks · $2,500 Flat · Guaranteed

We find the money hiding in your operations.

In 3 weeks we put a dollar figure on the waste in your operation: software nobody opens, data typed twice, reports built by hand. You get a ranked plan to fix it, and we only recommend AI where it pays for itself.

Less than 3x our fee in savings found? You pay nothing.

The Problem

Your accountant audits the books. Nobody audits how the work gets done.

That gap is where money goes missing. Subscriptions nobody opens. The same data typed into three systems. Reports a person rebuilds by hand every month. It never shows up as a line item, so it never gets fixed.

$ $
~50%

of paid software licenses sit unused at a typical mid-size organization.

9 hrs

a week of staff time lost to re-entering and reconciling data between systems.

$0

the measured return most teams can point to from the AI subscriptions they already bought.

How It Works

3 weeks. About 6 hours of your team's time.

No workshops and no disruption. We work around your team's calendar, and your operation runs as normal the whole way through.

Week 1

We look.

Short interviews with your team, a full software inventory from your invoices and admin consoles, and a map of how work moves through the organization.

Week 2

We measure.

Every hidden cost gets a dollar figure. Idle licenses, duplicate tools, hours spent on work a machine should do. You review and approve the numbers with us, so the totals are ones you believe.

Week 3

You get the ledger.

A ranked list of fixes with the savings, the cost, and the order to do them in. Fix them with your own people, or we do it with you.

What You Get

Four documents your board will want to see.

Plain English, board-ready, and specific enough to act on the day you receive them.

The Findings Ledger

Every finding, priced in dollars per year, with the evidence behind each number.

Software inventory, keep or cancel

Everything you pay for, who uses it, and what to keep, cancel, or consolidate.

AI fit report

Where AI genuinely helps your organization, and where it's hype you should skip.

90 day fix plan

Sequenced and costed, with an owner for each item. Built to hand straight to your team.

3x

The 3x guarantee*

The audit costs $2,500, and the bar we set for ourselves depends on your headcount. A 25 person shop and a 150 person operation don't waste money at the same scale, so we don't promise them the same number.

20 to 50 people$7,500/yr
51 to 100 people$15,000/yr
101 to 200 people$25,000/yr

Come in under the bar for your size and the audit is free. We can carry that risk because after 30 years in operations software, we know what we'll find.

*The savings are annualized figures you review and approve with us in week two. The guarantee asks a little of you too: the software invoices and about 6 hours of interviews. If we miss your bar, you get the full fee back.

Fit

Built for some organizations. Honestly not for others.

A fit if you are

  • Running 20 to 200 people and answerable to a board, funders, or owners
  • Past the startup scramble, with systems that grew faster than anyone planned
  • Paying for more software than anyone can list from memory
  • Curious what AI is worth to you, without betting the budget to find out

Not a fit if you are

  • A five person shop running on one tool
  • Mid-way through an ERP migration
  • Looking for a security or compliance certificate
  • Wanting a big-firm transformation program with a team of twelve
Pricing

One flat fee. No hourly meter, no scope creep.

The fee usually sits inside a leader's own approval authority, so you won't need a board vote to find out where the money goes.

Who We Are

Two people, on purpose.

You get the two of us in the room, not a deck from a partner and a rotation of juniors.

M Lokhandwala

Chief Findings Officer

30 years building operations and medical software. Rebuilt the operations of a $60M state contractor that was failing the volume its government client kept sending. The fix carried that company for years.

N Khanna

Chief Savings Officer

Chief of staff to CEOs and CHROs. Runs systems and AI operations for a dozen organizations at once, and launched an AI scheduling assistant that's live with users today. The rare AI guy executives pay to tell them what not to buy.

A note from us

We started FoundMargin after decades of watching the same thing happen in different rooms. An organization buys tools to save time. The tools multiply. Three years later nobody remembers what half of them do, and the waste never shows up on a report, so it never gets fixed.

We are not a big firm and we don't want to be one. Every audit is done by the two of us, start to finish, and we put our fee on the line because the findings hold up. If we talk and the audit isn't right for you, we'll say so on the call and point you somewhere better.

Questions

Asked every time.

Do we have to replace the systems we already run?

No. The biggest savings hide in the small tools and manual work around your core systems, and we don't touch the core.

We already tried AI and nothing happened. Why would this differ?

Failed pilots usually mean nobody mapped the process first, and AI was a side project for people with full-time jobs. The audit finds the two or three places a pilot would have paid off, and prices them before you spend again.

We already use AI tools. What does the audit add?

A number. Most teams using AI have no measure of what it returns. The audit prices what your current tools save, flags the ones earning nothing, and finds the next two or three places automation would pay off. Teams already using AI usually see the fastest results, because the habits are in place.

How much of our team's time does it take?

About 6 hours total across the 3 weeks, most of it 30 minute interviews. We pull the software inventory from invoices and admin consoles ourselves.

Who sees our data?

The two of us, under NDA. Analysis happens in your systems where possible, and nothing is shared, resold, or used to train anything.

How do two people run several audits at once?

By capping it at 3 a month and letting software do the grunt work. Interviews get transcribed and mined the same day, the inventory comes straight off your invoices, and our checklists carry from one audit to the next. The judgment, the interviews, and the readout are always us. That's the part you're paying for.

Next Step

Find out what's hiding in your operation.

Tell us a little about your organization and we'll set up a 20 minute fit call. You'll talk to a founder, not a sales team. If it's not a fit, we'll say so on the call and point you somewhere better.

We run 3 audits a month, two of us and no handoffs. The founding rate covers 5 clients, then it's gone.
